Our Mission
We provide our patients with complete oral health care, including restoration
and rehabilitation, in a personal, friendly, caring environment. We
take the time to get to know our patients, and will answer all questions
you may have about procedures and options - we prefer fully informed
patients. Our goal is to assist you in maintaining the best smile for
the longest possible time.

Kim
Kim recently joined Dr. Wadkins and his staff as the office manager, after
working at IBM for 25 years. She received her BA degree in Business
Administration at Minnesota State University, Mankato, and held a
number of positions at IBM - most recently in the patents and inventor
coordination area. Her husband works at IBM, as a senior purchasing
agent. They have two adult children, both of whom are now in college.
Brad is in the Packaging Engineering Program at UW-Stout and Katie
is in the Health and Science Program at UW- La Crosse. Kim enjoys
the outdoors (including farming), spending time with her family, skiing,
and traveling.
Brooke
Brooke received her BSDH (Bachelor of Science Dental Hygiene) degree from
Mankato State in 2009. She finished with honors and also obtained
credentials for the advanced (restorative) functions. She is now among
the fraternity of new homeowners, and can not wait to work the mower
and snow blower. Prior to the new home, she used to play softball,
run, and even find time for water skiing.
Lisa
Lisa has spent 2 decades in the medical profession, receiving her
ASDH (Associate Dental Hygiene) degree from Rochester Community and
Technical College in 2000. She was the recipient of the Oral B patient
care excellence award during her last year of hygiene education. She
previously worked as a pharmacy technician, but really enjoys the
direct patient contact of dental hygiene. While she loves seeing her
patients, sometimes her real job seems to be as the mother of 8 year
old Madi. She is also an avid reader in her spare time. A few years
ago, Lisa spent time in Texas learning permanent cosmetics. She is
able to combine her medical and cosmetic training, keeping clients
comfortable (using anesthesia) while providing eyeliner, eyebrows
or lips treatments - don’t hesitate to ask her about these procedures.
Marcia
Marcia has over 30 years of experience in the dental field, having
recently completed her 20th year as a dental assistant in our office.
Along with her duties as the lead assistant to Dr. Wadkins, she is
responsible for managing the office supplies and equipment maintenance.
She has advanced training in managing sedated patients, and has significant
implant and grafting surgery experience. She has fellowship credentials
with the American Dental Assistants Association. She has two grown
sons in Rochester. Of late, she fills her time planning annual travel
to exotic places around the world.
Dr. Wadkins
Dr. Wadkins completed undergraduate training as an engineer (BSEE)
at the University of Idaho. He has extensive hardware and computer architecture
design experience with IBM, along with a couple of years of programming
(C++). He also spent 4 years as an IBM Development Manager, working
on large hardware and software projects. He then completed his Doctor
of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree at the University of Minnesota. His post
doctoral training includes many small detail courses, along with the
specialty areas of patient sedation (Mn License CS0124) and graduation
from the Misch Implant Institute. Dr. Wadkins is one of very few doctors
in the world who can both surgically place implants, restore them, and
provide advanced surgical skills such as bone grafting. More and more,
it is obvious that the extensive engineering experience is invaluable
in dental implant and restorative procedures.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Wadkins has extensive interests, including
amateur radio (WB7NRX), property management (rental properties), scuba
diving, skiing, and flying (commercial and instrument ratings) with
1000’s of hours in high performance Mooney’s. He also referees more
than 125 soccer games per year, with a few professional level games
to his credit (PDL division of the USL - not MLS).
Dr. Wadkins has been married 30 years to Pat (BSChE) who has spent
her career working on disk drives with IBM and Hitachi. She also holds
an active Minnesota real estate brokers license and enjoys cooking classes
and gardening (flowers!). They have two sons, Thomas who graduated from
the University of Cincinnati (BSArch), and is now in graduate school
working on masters degrees in Architecture and structural engineering.
David, is in his final year of high school, and claims interests in
medicine and occasionally, sports.
